La actividad de Trump tras bastidores en “97’ fue exagerada” dice anterior Miss Teen NM

El candidato presidencial Republicano Donald Trump supuestamente se apareció detrás del escenario antes de un concurso de belleza en 1997, cuando algunas de las concursantes aún se estaban vistiendo.

 

Una concursante anterior de Miss Teen New Mexico de ese año confirmó que Trump estuvo tras bastidores antes del concurso de Miss Teen USA, pero dijo a NM Political Report que algunos de los reportes sobres sus acciones han sido exagerados.

Victoria Hughes, Miss Teen New Mexico de 1997, dijo que se acuerda algunos chaperones “diciendo que tuvimos un visitante y de cubrirse,” pero se detuvo antes de acusar a Trump de comportamiento inapropiado.

“Mientras que no apoyo a Donald Trump, los reportes que él entró sin aviso en el vestidor de las chicas adolescentes no es correcto,” Hughes escribió en un correo electrónico a NM Political Report. “Nuestros chaperones jamás habrían permitido que esto suceda, y nadie, ni Donald, merece ser desacreditado de tal manera.

Otras participantes del mismo concurso dijeron a Buzzfeed que se acuerdan que Trump estuvo tras bastidores antes que estuvieron completamente vestidas. Una concursante supuestamente recordó su presencia detrás del escenario como “repugnante” y “chocante.”

En este momento, Trump era el propietario de los concursos Miss USA y Miss Teen USA. Él vendió los concursos el año pasado después que invocó una reacción negativa en repuesta de sus comentarios sobre mexicanos cuando lanzó su campaña.

En su correo electrónico, Hughes dijo que ella era la participante con más edad este año en South Padre Island, Texas y se acuerda que estaba en la parte de atrás del vestuario cuando “las cortinas negras se abrieron y entró señor Trump con una sonrisa.”

Ella admitió haberse sentido sorprendida al verlo en ese momento específico.

“Como adolescentes, sin duda nos tomó por sorpresa, ya que el momento de la introducción podría haber sido mejor y menos incómodo para todos nosotros,” escribió Hughes.

Actualmente Hughes dirige su propio concurso de belleza, Mrs. US Universal, y dijo que como dueña de una empresa “la integridad y el carácter es todo.”

“No voy a quedarme con los brazos cruzados y permitir que se digan esas cosas,” Hughes dijo a NM Political Report durante una breve entrevista telefónica.

NM Political Report contactó a la campaña de Trump en Nuevo Mexico a través de un portavoz del Partido Republicano de Nuevo Mexico para un comentario. Actualizaremos esta entrada si responden.

La campaña de Trump recibió un golpe la semana pasada después que Trump apareció en un audio filtrado de 2005 que lo muestra jactándose al entonces presentador Access Hollywood Billy Bush sobre como él “simplemente empieza a besar” a mujeres.

“Y cuando eres una celebridad, ellas te dejan hacerlo. Puedes hacerles cualquier cosa,” Trump dijo en un audio.” “Agarrarlas por la vagina. Lo que quieras.”

Recientemente, CNN también publicó un audio de una entrevista con Howard Stern donde Trump habló sobe ir tras bastidores en los concursos que era propietario.

“Bueno, le digo que lo más gracioso es que antes de un show, me voy tras bastidores y todo el mundo se está vistiendo, y todo eso, y sabe, no hay hombres por ningún lado, e yo puedo ir porque soy el dueño del concurso y por lo tanto estoy inspeccionándolo”, dijo Trump a Stern.

A principios de este año, Miss Washington de 2013 dijo que Trump la toqueteó durante el concurso de ese año.

Hughes no comentó sobre las otras acusaciones, pero reiteró sus acuerdos de lo que sucedió en 1997.

“No puedo dar cuenta de sus acciones durante otros momentos y lugares, pero te puedo asegurar que eso no sucedió a Miss Teen USA 1997,” escribió Hughes (énfasis de ella).
