Former President Bill Clinton will be campaigning for Hillary Clinton in New Mexico.
Details are scarce right now, but the Hillary for America campaign announced that the former president will be in New Mexico for two days, on May 24 and May 25.
New Mexico holds its primaries, including for president, on June 7.
Early voting is happening right now and will expand in the coming days.
Hillary Clinton currently has a large lead over Vermont U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders.
Bill Clinton will be in Española and Albuquerque on those dates, though other details will come later.
According to the campaign, Bill Clinton “will discuss why Hillary Clinton is the best candidate to break down all the barriers holding families back.”
Bill Clinton easily won the state in the 1992 and 1996 general elections.
He was last in New Mexico in January for a fundraiser in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. Hillary Clinton held a fundraiser in June of last year.
Bill Clinton also appeared at a rally for Diane Denish during her 2010 race for governor. Denish ended up losing that race to Susana Martinez.
New Mexico is in the middle of a stream of high profile Democrats. Vice President Joe Biden traveled to the state last month. First Lady Michelle Obama will give the commencement address at Santa Fe Indian School later this month.
It’s not clear if Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders will themselves appear in New Mexico.
New Mexico’s primaries take place on the final day for state primaries. California and New Jersey, two states with much higher populations and so much larger delegate hauls, also hold primaries that day.
Republican voters will also cast ballots on June 7, though businessman Donald Trump is the lone remaining candidate.
