Late last week, our website received its one-millionth hit.
Now that we’ve taken a minute to let it soak in, we’re pretty excited and we want to say THANK YOU for making it happen.
Here we are 1,000,000 stories read online (and thousands more in newspapers statewide) and you’ve helped us prove that New Mexicans do care if APS officials have background checks before starting work, whether the state’s TRD secretary helped a former client get special tax treatments and whether UNM’s Regents should turn over control of UNM’s healthcare system and education to a small group of the governor’s appointed regents.
We broke all of those stories before any other news outlet in New Mexico and you responded by sharing, commenting and liking those and all of our stories more than 126,000 times.

Oh! and by the way. We’re a non-profit news outlet so we make all of our stories available to the public and other news outlets forFREE and without annoying ads.
We make all this happen thanks to readers – like you – who think New Mexicans need to know more about what’s happening in city halls and in the Roundhouse every day.
One other nifty number: $52. That’s the average donation per year we get from a few readers-turned-supporters, and it’s just 1/4 of the cost of a subscription to the Albuquerque Journal.
Can you help us celebrate 1,000,000 readers by chipping in $10, $100 (or $1 million, if you have it!) to keep us on the beat through elections in 2016?
Thank you for making us the largest political news site in New Mexico!
