President Barack Obama’s upcoming trip to New Mexico just got a little more detailed.

He and his family are scheduled arrive Friday 1:20 pm on Air Force One at Roswell’s airport.
Then, they’ll take a drive to Carlsbad Caverns National Park, where they’ll spend the next few hours and quickly circle back. Air Force One is scheduled to leave Roswell at 5:50 pm.
The trip is a part of a celebration of 100 years of the U.S. National Parks Service. Obama and his family will also visit Yosemite National Park in California sometime Saturday or Sunday.
News of Obama’s pending trip came last week via a video announcement from the White House. While the National Parks Service’s true birthday isn’t until August, the video said that Obama “plans to celebrate early.”
It marks Obama’s first trip to the Land of Enchantment since 2012, when he visited oil fields in Eastern New Mexico.
First Lady Michelle Obama, however, will be making her second trip to New Mexico in two months. In May, she delivered the commencement speech at Santa Fe Indian School.
