On Thursday, May 23, we will hold a News and Brews event discussing how elections work ahead of primary election day with an expert panel. The event will take place at Rob’s Place at O’Niell’s in Nob Hill in Albuquerque. This time, tickets will be $5, with a $15 suggested donation at the door. We do this simply to make sure folks who really want to get tickets and attend the event will be able to do so.
We are also pleased to be able to provide appetizers to our attendees for this event (you’ll still have to pay for your own drinks, which will be provided by the restaurant).
During the panel presentation we will discuss the nuts and bolts of how elections work, including: How are votes counted? What protections are in place for privacy? What do recent legislative changes mean for how elections are run? What goes on with absentee ballots? We’ll discuss all these and more.
Be the first to secure your tickets and join us and amazing panelists in support of our ongoing, statewide political coverage.
I hope that you’ll be able to join us, just sign up here.
