Announcing our News and Brews Summer Series

Edit: This event is sold out. So you get the news first, sign up for our free newsletter, where we make announcements before posting on the website.

We’ve been working on a big project over the past few weeks and we’re excited that we can share it now.

We are starting a new series of discussions with experts, newsmakers and others on a select topic each month—and I wanted you have the first chance to join us.

There is limited space, so we will have free tickets for the event—get yours here now.

Note: We shared this news with our email subscribers earlier this week. Sign up for our daily (free!) email newsletter here to never miss a story and be the first to hear about big announcements.

Our first event in the News and Brews Summer Series is a Thursday, May 11 discussion about the first 100 days of President Donald Trump’s presidency.

Reporter Laura Paskus will moderate a discussion with Santa Fe immigration attorney Allegra Love, former director for USDA Rural Development Terry Brunner and prominent member of the New Mexico Muslim community Abbas Akhil about the beginning of the Trump presidency.

We will be in Downtown Albuquerque in the newly remodeled Simms Building on 4th and Gold on the 7th floor. Red Door Brewing will be selling beers.

Again, space is limited so RSVP now.

The series will continue each second Thursday of the month throughout the summer, with a new topic each month that we’ll announce at the previous event.

We are putting the event on for free, but are asking for donations to help pay for the costs so we can keep putting money into open records requests and other costs in uncovering stories.

You can donate online here.
