The State Canvass Board certified the New Mexico 2024 general election results Tuesday in Santa Fe.
The board, comprised of Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver and New Mexico Supreme Court Chief Justice David K. Thomson, unanimously certified the 2024 election results.
“The 2024 General Election was run with efficiency and integrity by the state’s election administrators and every New Mexican should have the highest level of confidence in these official election results,” Toulouse Oliver said in a press release.

Two automatic recounts were ordered for State Representative District 57 between Republican Catherine Cullen who won 8,374 votes to Democrat Michelle Sandoval with 8,244 votes.
Another automatic recount was issued for the three at-large Los Alamos County Council seats.
The State Canvass Board meeting to certify the recount results is expected to be on Dec. 16.
Of 1,382,761 total registered voters, 928,290 voters, or 67.13 percent, cast their ballots for the Nov. 5 election, according to a Secretary of State’s Office press release.
There were 52,358 same-day voter registrations submitted during both early voting and election day voting with 25,485 of those on election day, the press release states.
